The Gentle Shift back to Vegetarianism

First off... Let's just say I LOVE FOOD!!!!


And I am going back to being a Vegetarian for TWO REASONS.


First... the quality of Meat is HORRIBLE! Unless you are growing your own animals, you really don't know what you are getting.


Second... I KNOW I will feel better once I stop adding to my body what I know is no good. And I want to feel good.


NOW the reason why this is called the GENTLE Shift BACK is because I am not going to stress myself out over it. I am going to do my best to push towards my Goals daily.


MY OVER ALL GOALS


I want to only eat Meat occasionally. So a 90-95% Vegetarian 5-10% Animal Source. Once I finish the meat that I have on hand, the goal is to not buy any more.


Right now I am currently 60% Animal Based 40% Vegetarian Based


WEEK APRIL 21st through 27th


  • Meat for the week: Shrimp, Catfish & Buffalo


Meals of the Week


MAIN MEALS (Lunch & Dinner)

Shrimp. Shrimp & Veggie Fried Rice Noodles w/Egg

Catfish. Fried Catfish with Fries or Pasta

Buffalo Fish. Fried Buffalo with Broccoli and Rice or Fries


SUPPLEMENTAL: Protein Shake


SHOPPING this WEEK


  • No Meat purchases unless Seafood

  • Adding Rice to my meals (not a rice person)

  • Adding back in Broccoli (I needed a break)

  • Additional veggies (Carrots, Green Onion, Baby Corn)... for the Stir Fry


BEVERAGES this Week


  • Coffee. I am not giving up my Coffee.

  • No Soda purchases. I did slip up and bought a pack last week because I was stressed out.

  • Water with Turmeric to help with the Inflammation in my shoulder.

  • Homemade Limemade. I will be making my own with Lime Juice


SWEETS for the WEEK


Homemade 7 upside down bundt cake. (We shall see)


The week Starts Sunday April 21st and runs through Saturday April 27th! Let Go!!!!
